When I paint i find silence within a noisy mind. It is a visceral and often intuitive process that demands radical presence and honesty. I work in numerous layers, often adding and scraping, connecting and dissecting, building and destroying.

My work explores themes at the intersection of the carnal and the spiritual. I am interested in psychological conflicts, consuming urges, the body when it is seen and the glimpse of freedom when it is not. At the same time, I find life to be an absolutely baffling experience, best expressed in vivid motion, strong color palettes and an irrational obsession with pink clouds.

My work is diverse, process oriented and always evolving.

I also do other things:

As co-host of the German sobriety podcast SodaKlub I work towards de-stigmatising substance use disorder.

I am qualified coach and counsellor, specialising in addiction recovery.

I write.

I have a B.A. from University of Hildesheim in Cultural Studies & Arts (Kulturwissenschaften und ästhetische Praxis).
